Listing Agent: Walter Wells, Sutton Group West Coast Realty
BY THOMASINA BARNES
"There may
be talk of the market cooling across the country, but in Vancouver
things have, at worst, stabilized," says agent Walter Wells. For
example, the previous owners of this 2,000-square-foot home made a
$175,000 profit in just one year.
"While
there seem to be fewer buyers today and listing inventories have
crept up, the demand remains strong on Vancouver's west side and
prices are holding steady," says Mr. Wells.
He
believes the most saleable feature of this Dunbar home is its
bedroom layout.
"This
property sold quickly for such a great price because it offered
three bedrooms plus a den, while many bungalows have only two
bedrooms; and it has a self contained one-bedroom basement suite,"
he notes.
The house
sports fresh paint, a new stainless steel refrigerator, new
flooring, a new washer and dryer, and a new hot water tank. The
previous owners also remodelled the main bathroom.
This house
on West 21st Avenue is close to many schools (Kitchener, Queen
Elizabeth Main, St. Georges and Lord Byng), Chaldecott Park,
shops, restaurants and transportation.
